CLM Specialization Course:

This course, created in collaboration with the Lay Servant Ministries of the United Methodist Church, was designed for lay servants to receive specialization as a Certified Lay Minister in Congregational Care. This course includes the same training received in the full Basic CCM Training Course plus an additional final project to create a “Care Ministry Action Plan” which is submitted to the UMC Discipleship Ministries. 

Prerequsite: Certified as a lay servant, lay missioner or equivalent (as defined by his or her central conference) in the United Methodist Church.


About This Course

This CLM Specialization Course covers the essential training necessary to establish a successful care ministry and the foundational training for Congregational Care Ministers who are the backbone of an effective care ministry. It also includes a final project to create a Care Ministry Action Plan submitted to the UMC Discipleship Ministries. After completion, this course meets the requirement for a CLM Specialization in Congregational Care for current Certified Lay Servants.
